We’re passionate about creating beautiful, functional, sustainable, and compelling building environments. Good architecture is about people. Whether learning or teaching, working or playing, moving in or just passing through; people make a building come alive.
Students need both physical exercise and brain workouts. Paul Erickson explains how the design of your educational facilities can support both of these activities in the January issue of American School & University.
In the latest issue of our Life Learn newsletter, Paul Erickson travels beyond our country’s borders to improve education. Learn more about Paul’s recent involvement in the Jordan Schools Project. Also, find out how today’s commons spaces provide effective learning spaces for students, staff and community members as well as how ATS&R can assist your District with referendum planning.
Great news! ATS&R was recently selected to design a new microbrewery and tap room for Hamel Brewing Company. The two-story, 5,316 square foot building will exhibit a barn-like appearance with the main level housing a bar and food service area. A second level mezzanine will provide additional seating for bar patrons with a deck to accommodate outdoor seating. The basement will house the microbrewery and storage for the bar. The microbrewery is scheduled to for bidding in late March 2016, with completion by the end of August 2016.
We recently assisted Kasson-Mantorville in designing a new kindergarten pod and gymnasium. Take a peek at what’s inside their finished project in this video!
Recent renovation of the high school media center at North Branch Area Public Schools features better lighting, cozy furniture & some walls removed. Students love to hang out at the window counter!
